Get involved

How can you help?

Every one of us has a role in creating safe and supportive dementia friendly communities.

In our effort to raise awareness of dementia and to tackle associated discrimination we invite community members, religious groups, local businesses and organisations to join us on our path to creating communities where all are included, where all can experience a sense of belonging and where all can continue to express themselves.

You can become part of a growing movement in creating Dementia Friendly Pentlands. By taking small steps together we can make a real difference.

Volunteer!

Volunteers at the Scottish Dementia Awards

We welcome volunteers to help in a variety of ways. You do not require any previous experience and any time you can give will be greatly appreciated.

  • Interested in offering some of your time?
  • Interested in learning about how you can make your organisation dementia friendly or support people in your club or organisation?
  • Do you have particular skills you think could benefit our work?

There are many ways you can get involved with our work.
