Dementia friendly Pentlands are holding a full programme of events for Dementia Awareness week 3rd-9th June. We are really delighted to have Martha Pollard returning on Wednesday for the popular workshop Creativity Interaction and dementia an opportunity, to learn more about engaging with people living with dementia in an innovative yet achievable approach (Juniper Green Parish Church Hall 2.30-4pm). On Thursday we are co hosting a celebrating volunteers event a special afternoon, to recognise the amazing Local Volunteers who support older adults in the 3 communities; with entertainment, fun and delicious refreshments (Gibson Craig 1-4pm). The finale is a evening tea dance on Saturday with light supper and a live music – so dust of you dancing shoes and “keep dancing!”. Tickets for the tea dance (Β£5) can be purchased from Pauline White (449-4746) Kay Latimer (449-6186). (Saturday 8th June 5.30-7pm)
