Dementia Friendly Pentlands is primarily a volunteer lead organisation. In 2017 in collaboration with Volunteer Edinburgh we applied for and were awarded a Development Grant from the Life Changes Trust.

This funding has been used to employ a part time development worker, conduct a community consultation process and be used to assist our communities in developing various initiatives to support people with dementia and to make our communities more dementia friendly.

Our local support work relies on generous donations from a variety of community groups including the Rotary, the Round Table, Balerno Parish Church and Currie Community council.
